After three days of presentations, discussions, new connections and exchanges, the 30th Annual International Conference on Science and Technology Indicators (STI-ENID 2026) came to a close.

MultiObs researchers contributed to the conference through several papers, presentations and sessions. Their work is now available alongside contributions from researchers from around the world in the STI-ENID 2026 Conference Proceedings, which brings together the final versions of the papers and posters presented during the event.

Dr. Rodrigo Costas Comesaña, MultiObs PI, chaired two sessions on September 10: “Research Mobility and Early-Career Researchers” and “Sharing the Load: Open Research Information Resources for the STI Community in the Cloud”. He also co-authored several other works presented throughout the conference.

MultiObs Co-PIs Dr. Sergio Salles-Filho, Dr. Adriana Bin, Dr. Cassidy R. Sugimoto and Dr. Ismael Rafóls also contributed to works presented throughout the conference. Among them was “Metascience Observatories: a methodological approach to characterize their outputs and policy impact”, presented in the session “AI and Advanced Methods for STI Intelligence”. Dr. Salles-Filho also took part in the session “Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Research System”, while the group contributed to several other works and discussions across the conference programme.

Dr. André Brasil, Associate Researcher at MultiObs, presented a scientometric analysis of the development of metascience around the world during the special session “Seizing the Metascience Moment: Shifting Discourses and Coalitions of Research Funding Policy and Practice”. MultiObs Associate Researchers also contributed extensively to discussions throughout the conference.

The participation of MultiObs researchers at STI-ENID 2026 reflects the project’s engagement with ongoing international discussions on science, technology and innovation indicators and research information infrastructures.

This is just a glimpse of the many productive discussions and contributions involving our team at STI-ENID 2026. More information about the full programme, papers and sessions is available on the official conference website.
