30th Annual International Conference on Science and Technology Indicators
Join us in Antwerp, Belgium, in September 2026 for the 30th Annual STI-ENID Conference, themed “Indicators for a Responsible Research Future”. This international conference brings together leading experts, researchers, and policymakers to explore how science, technology, and innovation (STI) indicators can advance responsible research and innovation (RRI). Key topics will include diversity, inclusivity, openness, and sustainability in research assessment and policy. Participants will discuss how STI indicators can align with societal values, long-term goals, and the challenges of an uncertain future. The event will also examine how indicators reflect changing patterns of collaboration, competition, and knowledge exchange, and how they can promote equitable global cooperation amid increasing geopolitical tensions. We are happy to welcome the STI-ENID community to Antwerp for this landmark edition of the conference. The STI-ENID 2026 Conference is hosted by ECOOM teams from KU Leuven, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), and University of Antwerp.

10º Encontro Brasileiro de Bibliometria e Cientometria
A federated data infrastructure
The largest available set of interconnected datasets on research entities, bibliometrics, economics and intellectual property, federated to support diverse data-driven questions and open to researchers beyond the MultiObs team.
They are part of a UNICAMP research program that builds evidence for more effective monitoring of Science, Technology and Innovation, combining federated data infrastructures with participatory, multi-perspective approaches.
All datasets are published in the public Google BigQuery project multiobs and can be queried with SQL. MultiObs is also one of the contributing collections of ORION-DBs, which aims to make open research information combinable and actionable at scale.
Learn to work with the data
Recorded, hands-on training sessions on querying the datasets with SQL, working with them in Python, and using specific sources such as patent and FAPESP funding data.

Using VOSviewer with SQL databases
In this video, Dr. Mariana Moretti introduces VOSviewer, a tool used to create and explore bibliometric and network visualizations. Using SQL databases as a source, the video demonstrates how to work with some of VOSviewer’s main functions and apply them in practice to analyze and visualize relationships within research data.
